One from Malaysia, the other from Spain but Angie and Antonio met in Sydney, Australia, during the summer of 2005. At first it was only a business encounter. Little did they know that it would be the most important one of their lives.
Just over a year later, Antonio and Angie were going through very difficult times. Probably the most challenging and emotionally draining time of their lives. But these troubles lead them to find a best friend and soul mate in each other. They went for long walks together, talked for hours over coffee, shared with each other their dreams, their fears, their ambitions. Soon, cupid strike and their friendship grew into intense feelings for each other….they had fallen in love with each other and could no longer imagine life away from each other.
Antonio’s assignment in Sydney was coming to an end. He was to return to the United States. Angie followed along after securing a position in New York. Europe – Asia – Australia – America, Antonio decided that home is where the heart is. He surprised Angie with everything that she loves and dreamt of. With a room filled with candle lights, enriched with her favorite songs, the world most perfectly cut diamond “The Hearts on Fire” and most importantly, himself. That’s how Antonio proposed to Angie. Later they traveled to Malaysia where Antonio formally asked Angie’s parents for her hand in marriage.
On December 18, 2009, Angie and Antonio tied the knot at a beautiful colonial building, 32 The Mansion by the seaside of the Pearl of Orient of Malaysia – Penang. And from that day on, their lives became one. The business encounter that seemed irrelevant at the time had grown through troubles and challenges into love and dedication that no force in nature will ever break.
Message from the client
Getting the wedding photographer was the most important thing to us as only through the lenses of a good photographer can the magic of our wedding be captured. Once we secured the wedding venue, we did not waste anytime to research for the best photographer. The Best, not second best. We even thought we may have to fly the photographer from overseas, but we came across your portfolio and was utterly amazed! International standard and worldwide award winner is right here in Malaysia.
We were so excited that you agreed to be our photographer. Having such a famous reputation, we thought we would encounter an artist who will not be too flexible on his style. Much to our surprise, you did not only make us feel so comfortable throughout the whole photo session, you made the whole experience such an enjoyable one. We learnt that being comfortable with the photographer makes us more photogenic!!!
Thanks to your professionalism and guidance, our photographs and album turned out just the way we hoped for – natural yet artistic. You captivated our smile and moments that we will cherish for the rest of our life.
We are grateful for all the dedication and the beautiful work. No one could have done it better.
Thank you,
Angie & Antonio, New York, USA

I still remember that is my last day in Sydney, we start from early morning until the minute i step into the airport. Our shooting session attracted some onlookers wishes them and some wanted to take some photos with my beautiful bride and handsome groom. Here are some photos I would love to share…

JUDGES COMMENTS: I’m not really quite sure what to say about this photo. It wasn’t until the second time I saw the photo that I caught a little something extra. And then I got a little something else. And again, and again, and again and again. This photo is either one giant coincident, or perfectly staged. It was a photo that kept on giving. I’m not exactly sure who the groom is, but I hope it’s the man the bride is looking at!
